Nelle strade cittadine intanto sfilavano auto d'epoca, belle e nostalgiche.

This morning I woke up happy, I felt like I fit in together.
The light and crisp air swept the mind of all thought and emotion.
I wanted to get to see the people, the world, inspired by this positive rest.
Once outside, the first thing I stopped to look at the roses in the garden.
I love the roses always, what can I say!
I love their smell, their charm, their absolute beauty.
"I want to always be so contented and serene" I thought.
I want to implement the projects I have in mind, the dreams that I have, I want only good things happen.
A cappuccino break and I enjoyed the aroma of a perfect afternoon.
Paraded in the streets while cars, beautiful and nostalgic.
The roar of the crowd colorful old engines.
A teenage boy came to me to greet me.
Green eyes looked at me shyly.
"You have the look of your father ..." I thought.
His father was my beloved cousin.
Hugs, smiles, emotions.
A friend called me and we were greeted with warmth.
I was happy to see her and be there with her.
We laughed and we told aloud while the engines roared louder.
We were there, girls like then, and the years they were never gone ...
A 'last line, a last goodbye.
Happiness is ... a minute long.

Il passaggio del Vate (The passage of Vate)

Today I spent my afternoon with an excursion to the cultural content and emotional level.
I went to Luco Dei Marsi, picturesque village perched on the mountain down to the edge of the Fucino.I wanted to visit the ancient palace of my grandfather, the notary Don Quirino Hercules, dating from the seventeenth century, which rises majestically above the steep alleys and flowered terraces. I never knew my grandfather, but always I've heard and I could describe in detail. You should know that this house was hosted Gabriele D'Annunzio, poet poet, who stayed in her room a few days to attend the Feast of the Holy Spirit. The Poet was particularly fascinated by the weather folk of those days, because the Panarda recurred, an ancient festival of Abruzzo. This tradition dates back to 500 and consists in setting up a gargantuan banquet, where guests are refreshed with do

zens of items that should be all enjoy, otherwise the offense of the landlord. The Panarda lasted several days and was interrupted only by prayer vigils dedicated to Sant 'Antonio Abate.  The festivities in honor of the saint continued then with procession, blessing of the animals, until the beginning of Carnival, which saw and still see today, the performance of local masks that contrast in the two types of Ugly and Beautiful. The Ugly wore dark clothes and grotesque covered with bells, while Belli are dressed in white and still bring hats adorned with flowers and ribbons. Gabriele D'Annunzio wanted to leave a written record of this living room and wrote a note to my grandfather, on notepaper with the stamp of Fiume, which says: "Dear Don Ercole, it's beautiful memories of hours spent in Luco. Nardelli I had anticipated everything about the festive Panarda. Thank you. Gabriele D'Annunzio." On May 25 last, in the presence of local authorities and our uncles and cousins was a plaque commemorating the event on Palace Hercules on which is written: Hercules Palace, home of the Royal Guard, hosted in his chambers B. Cross and G. D'Annunzio. Today I looked up toward the crest that surmounts the door of the house and saw depicted a hand holding what looks like a rose. In the silence of the ancient alley I closed my eyes imagining the splendor of the house, the entrance of the coaches, my grandfather, my father and my uncles still children. Voices, eyes, smiles that there are no more for some time. I stroked the wall and fell down the steps of the alley.
"I'm the one pink, grandfather, hold me tight ..." I thought about running.
